GTM Engineer (Copenhagen-Based)

Understory is a vertical-focused software platform built for experience businesses – from kayaking tours to cooking classes. Our operating system helps creators manage operations, grow bookings, accept payments, and run their business with clarity and less stress.
We’ve recently raised a €12M Series A and are scaling fast across multiple markets. We move quickly, experiment constantly, and expect everyone to operate with ownership and initiative.
About the Role
We’re looking for a GTM Engineer to architect the systems behind our growth. You’ll report directly to the Head of Revenue Operations, and have a strong impact on our GTM motion and revenue.
You’ll build the AI-driven workflows, automations and data infrastructure that power our revenue engine - from lead sourcing and enrichment to scoring, routing, attribution and dashboards. This role is ideal for someone who loves combining growth, systems and engineering thinking and wants immediate impact at a Series A company.
We already have 1,000+ happy customers, and we have more joining us every day. We have a great conversion rate once we get in touch with potential customers, but we need to increase our speed in reaching out to them. This is where you come in! By creating best in class, automated lead sourcing and lead enrichement we can greatly increase our outreach volume and thus revenue. This is an example of the direct impact you can have in this role.
What You’ll Do
Own and optimize our GTM systems stack for lead sourcing, enrichment and scoring.
Build AI-powered workflows (Clay, apollo, n8n, enrichment APIs).
Maintain data quality, routing rules and ICP scoring to ensure SDRs hit the best leads first.
Collaborate with Marketing, RevOps and commercial leadership to:
improve sequencing and prioritization
refine handover logic
create tight feedback loops from pipeline performance
Instrument marketing campaigns and build reliable attribution frameworks.
Build dashboards that give clear visibility into pipeline health and funnel performance.
Continuously experiment and optimize to increase conversion speed and predictability.
Who You Are
Exceptionally tech-savvy and comfortable with AI tools, APIs and integrations.
Strong analytical mindset – you enjoy breaking down problems and designing elegant systems.
Hands-on builder who enjoys rapid experimentation and iteration.
You think in funnels, systems and feedback loops rather than isolated tasks.
Nice to have:
Experience from Tech, GTM Ops, RevOps, Marketing Ops or similar systems-heavy role.
Experience from start/scale ups
Experience with attribution modeling
HubSpot experience
